How to find your brands voice and tone

Now that you have found your ideal client and know everything about them, you are already halfway there to creating your brand’s tone of voice. The next step in this creative journey is to think about and identify your values, morals and goals. These are things you will keep in mind now and in the future when you are creating content to share with your clients and future prospects. Think about what you are trying to achieve as a company and a brand – what is the goal you are working towards? Your team will also need to know the steps they should be following when working for your organisation.

Now it’s important to note that your brand’s tone and voice will have to vary depending on the message you are trying to convey. Think about the different situations you may find your company in and how you would like the communication to come across, and the tones you would convey. You wouldn’t announce a big sale in the same way as dealing with an angry customer – you would make no sales, and the customer is likely never to return! Structure this into your guidelines and share it with everyone across your business so you can be sure that your brand remains consistent.
